Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A. As the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was the sole gymnast who won four gold medals in one Games during the 2016 Olympics. She is the only person to have three consecutive world championships. Biles was raised at Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area following the time she and her sister Adria received adoption by grandparents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone's love for gymnastics first began when she was just six years old after a visit with her group of daycare children to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained in the hands of Aimee Borman's coaching until the year 2011. Biles earned a silver in vault in 2010 and a bronze medal at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Biles then advanced to competitions at the elite level in the year 2011. Less than two years later she dominated the sport. The thing that set Biles apart was the consistency of her exuberant personality and the high degree of effort she put into her routines in every event - vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor workout.
