Kelly Clarkson has been a American songwriter and singer for more than 20 years. She was crowned American Idol during the first season. The win brought Clarkson to notoriety and led to the contract of RCA Records 19 Recordings, and 'S Records. From her first appearance, she released numerous albums. Of those albums three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The others were close to the top spot. She's one of the biggest artists that come out of the American Idol series. She experimented as she gained popularity with different musical themes and style, and often wrote her own songs. For her uniqueness and vocal prowess, she received critical acclaim as well as various accolades. In particular, she's won the Grammy Award three times. Apart from her singing professional career, she has worked in film and TV. She also wrote the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with various charities.
