Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She came to California at age five. She was raised mainly within Orange County. She graduated in 2015 from University of California San Diego and received her first big break as an actress. Pernas she had appeared in small appearances in NCIS and Leverage prior to her debut in the role in the role of Marisa in The Young and the Restless she was a well-known name on the soap. The actress was cast as Catalina in Jane the Virgin after she was let go of the soap. The model speaks four different languages.
