Lisa Edelstein is an American actor, most famous for her role on the Fox medical show, House. Raised in Wayne with a strict Jewish tradition, she moved to New York City at the age of eighteen to study theatre at Tisch School of the Arts. Her performance quickly made her a part of the club scene in New York. Her shows were so good that even the local press noticed. She then used her background and fame as well as her own education to write and present a program called Positive Me. Awake in the Wild Side was her next job. After the show ended her appearances began in the film and television industry, at first in small roles. She gradually established her place as an actor.
