Carol Lynley

She is best known for her roles on the movies Blue Denim (1959), The Poseidon Adventure (1872), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was raised in Manhattan by an Irish mother and a New England father. She started her career as a child model prior to getting into acting. She was awarded the Theatre World Award in 1956-57 for her performance in The Potting Shed. Lynley started her film career with The Light in the Forest, a Disney film The Light in the Forest and was followed by Holiday for Lovers (1959) and Blue Denim (1959). In 1959, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer Female for the film The Light in the Forest. The film was nominated for the Golden Globe Award again for Most Promising Youngcomer Female the following year in the film Blue Denim.
